Paramount Pictures and Legendary have released a new trailer for Street Fighter, the latest attempt to adapt the iconic fighting series into a movie.
Street Fighter movies don’t have the best reputation, largely thanks to the astoundingly awful Legend of Chun-Li in 2009. But we’ve gotta be honest: this one looks so damn good. It’s clearly leaning into the absurdity of the game series, with faithful recreations of characters, clothing, moves, and more.
Some of the characters do admittedly look a bit off (we love you David Dastmalchian, but we’re yet to be convinced by your M. Bison portrayal), but overall, we can’t wait to check this out when it releases in cinemas on 16th October 2026.
In addition to the standard trailer, which we’ve embedded above, you can also check out an interactive alternative over on YouTube. This one simulates an arcade environment in which you complete certain QTEs throughout by clicking on the arcade cabinet joystick and buttons. It’s silly, it doesn’t quite work, but we appreciate the effort.
