Microsoft is accelerating updates to its Edge browser, switching from a monthly release schedule to a biweekly one. The change takes effect with Edge 152, due on August 27, and puts the browser on the same cadence as Google Chrome.

More updates, not more features

The shift does not mean users will get twice as many new features. As Microsoft explained in a recent blog post, each release under the new schedule will carry roughly half the content of the current monthly drops, keeping the overall volume of changes roughly constant. The practical effect for most users is a steadier, smaller stream of updates rather than a sudden jump in new functionality.

Microsoft framed the change as a benefit for both consumers and enterprise customers, noting that security and platform fixes will reach users faster, and that smaller change sets are easier for IT teams to validate before deployment.

Who it affects and when

The new cadence applies to users on the standard Stable channel. Those on the Stable Extended channel, a longer-term option aimed at organizations that prefer less frequent updates, will stay on the current every-two-months schedule.

Google Chrome moved to a two-week release cycle in March, and Edge’s realignment closes the gap between the two Chromium-based browsers. The biweekly releases kick in with Edge 152 on August 27, giving users and IT admins a couple of months to prepare before the new schedule takes hold. For everyday users, the transition should be largely invisible. Automatic updates will simply arrive more often, each with a smaller footprint than before.

What to expect from WWDC 2026: Siri’s highly anticipated revamp and Apple Intelligence updates https://gaming.vmondeika.com/what-to-expect-from-wwdc-2026-siris-highly-anticipated-revamp-and-apple-intelligence-updates/ https://gaming.vmondeika.com/what-to-expect-from-wwdc-2026-siris-highly-anticipated-revamp-and-apple-intelligence-updates/#respond Sun, 07 Jun 2026 06:06:31 +0000 https://gaming.vmondeika.com/what-to-expect-from-wwdc-2026-siris-highly-anticipated-revamp-and-apple-intelligence-updates/

As Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference, WWDC 2026, approaches, the excitement is building around what Apple has in store for us this year. From Siri’s overhaul to new Apple Intelligence updates, there’s a lot to look forward to.

The annual Worldwide Developers Conference kicks off Monday at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET. For those eager to tune in, the event will be streamed live via the Apple Developer app, Apple’s website, and the Apple Developer YouTube channel.

Siri’s big AI makeover

The most anticipated announcement is a major AI upgrade to Siri, transforming it into a more conversational assistant capable of understanding context, handling multi-step tasks, and interacting more naturally across apps and services. The revamped Siri will leverage Google’s Gemini technology to enhance its capabilities.

Additionally, recent leaks from Bloomberg have unveiled a standalone Siri app that aims to compete with advanced AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Apple may also introduce a feature reminiscent of messaging apps, enabling users to set timers for automatically deleting conversations after 30 days, a year, or keeping them indefinitely.

AI agent app store

According to The Information, Apple plans to introduce an AI agent integration with the app store. While details are scarce, agents allow users to delegate tasks such as booking reservations, managing everyday tasks, editing documents, or controlling smart home devices.

Camera and Photos apps

A new “Visual Intelligence” section is anticipated to be introduced within the Camera app, taking the place of the previous Visual Intelligence feature found in the Camera Control button. This upgrade will introduce a dedicated Siri mode that exists next to options like Photo, Video, Portrait, and Panorama. The Visual Intelligence feature leverages Google Image Search to accurately identify objects captured by the user.

In addition, the Photos app is set to receive exciting enhancements powered by Apple Intelligence. These may include intelligent scene recommendations for optimizing photos, automatic object removal for cleaner images, and an innovative AI photo editing feature that allows users to request edits simply by using natural language, new productivity functionalities in visionOS.

Image Playground updates

Apple is set to upgrade the Image Playground app, introducing higher-quality image generation, more artistic styles, better character consistency, and richer editing controls. The interface for creating new images will be simplified, offering fewer controls and a “describe a change” option for editing.

Additionally, we might see a suggested Genmoji feature that proposes custom emojis based on users’ media and text interactions. Users may also be able to generate AI wallpapers that reflect various themes and moods.

Apple Wallet

Notable updates are rumored to be coming to the Wallet app, particularly a new bill-splitting feature that will simplify sharing expenses among friends or family. Users will be able to photograph a receipt and generate payment requests to different parties effortlessly.

Alongside this, the Wallet app will also include a “Create a Pass” option that enables users to generate digital passes from physical items such as movie tickets, concert passes, or gym membership cards.

MacOS, iPadOS, visionOS, watchOS, and tvOS updates

Apple is expected to enhance its AI-powered Siri experience across its devices, as well as likely incorporate more AI features and stability updates.

You need luck from the Pity and 50/50 systems to Wish with Fate for characters on Banners, and you always need the right Adventure Rank for events.

Elsewhere, we have tips and tricks for beginners.

What to expect from Genshin Impact 3.5 Banners

We’ll have to wait for the 3.5 livestream for official details on who the character event Banners will be, but there has been some leakers providing information on the possible upcoming 3.5 Banners for Phase 1 and Phase 2 – though not as precise leaks as we’re used to.

There’s usually a whole bunch of leaks all but confirming what the new and returning Banners will be, but we don’t actually have an awful lot of information to go on this time. Perhaps it’s because of the recent legal trouble some leakers have got into?

That said, we’re inclined to be believe that new 5-Star Pyro character Deyha and new 4-Star Cryo character Mika will be included in the next Banners in Genshin Impact. Their marketing has been kicked into full gear on the official Genshin Twitter account, and beta testers have been playing as them in the latest test servers.

Deyha should finally be playable in 3.5!

As for reruns, the SaveYourPrimos website has compiled all of more believable rumours out there and has noted the following characters could have reruns in the 3.5 Banners:

  • Albedo
  • Cyno
  • Eula
  • Klee
  • Shenhe

To add our own speculation, we think it’s most likely at Eula and Shenhe will have reruns, as their Banners haven’t been seen as recently as Aldebo, Klee, and Cyno’s. However, Genshin Impact has been basing Banner runs off story and events more recently, so take that with a pinch of salt.

Cyno’s signature – the 5-Star Staff of the Scarlet Sands.

Just like the character Banners, we only have speculation and rumours on what the next weapon Banner will feature in Genshin Impact.

As Deyha is all but confirmed to feature in one of the next Banners, she should have a new 5-Star claymore signature weapon to run alongside her in the next Epitome Invocation Banner.

Apart from this likely inclusion, we can only speculate on what the other three 5-Stars will be across both phases, as we don’t have the usual reliable leaks on what 5-Star characters will be featured.

Here’s what weapons should be featured in the next weapon Banners, depending on what 5-Star character gets a rerun:

  • Calamity Queller polearm (Shenhe’s signature)
  • Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds (featured on Klee’s last rerun)
  • Primordial Jade Cuter (featured on Albedo’s last rerun)
  • Staff of the Scarlet Sands polearm (Cyno’s signature)
  • Song of Broken Pines claymore (Eula’s signature)

As a reminder, none of this information is official, so we’ll have to wait until the 3.5 livestream for solid details on who and what will be on the next Banners in Genshin Impact.
