Following extensive delays to pre-orders in both the USA and Canada thanks to the introduction of US tariffs, it looks as though those in the states and the Great White North may soon have a chance to nail down a Nintendo Switch 2. That is, if a reputable video game retail leaker can be believed.

According to a tweet from Billbil-kun, who’s gained a pretty strong reputation for leaks due to consistently putting out stuff like PlayStation Plus line-ups ahead of time, Canadian gamers will be able to order the new console starting April 23 from select retailers. Following that, they also posted that American pre-orders could start from either April 21 or April 30 depending on the retailer.

They also noted that for Switch 2 accessories, Americans can expect to see pre-orders for those kick up starting April 30, again from select retailers. Now, despite Billbil-kun’s good record in terms of accuracy, they are still a leaker and as such you should take their info with a grain of salt pending official confirmation. Still, if true, this will soon mean that those otherwise held back from throwing money at Nintendo’s latest console will soon be able to lock in their order. Hopefully before prices get any higher or the dollar drops in value too much.

What still remains a bit of a mystery, at least for American buyers, is the actual retail price of the Nintendo Switch 2. Following the tarrifs, costs of products imported into the USA will be more expensive: putting things in simple terms the American government adds an extra charge on the point of entry, and that extra cost will in all likelihood be passed along to buyers by the retailers which actually take in this imported stock.

While the largest tariffs remain levied at China, widespread 10% tariffs still impact many other countries including Vietnam, the country that Nintendo shifted some of its production to some time ago. Now, Nintendo of America CEO Doug Bowser has come forward to say the tariffs didn’t play into the Switch 2’s initial $499 price point, so you can maybe expect to pay a bit more than that if you’re reading this in the States.

How much do you think the Switch 2 will retail for in the USA? Are you ordering one, even if there’s a price hike? Let us know below!

BlackRock ordered $5B in SpaceX shares as IPO demand hit $250 billion, nearly 4x oversubscribed https://gaming.vmondeika.com/blackrock-ordered-5b-in-spacex-shares-as-ipo-demand-hit-250-billion-nearly-4x-oversubscribed/ https://gaming.vmondeika.com/blackrock-ordered-5b-in-spacex-shares-as-ipo-demand-hit-250-billion-nearly-4x-oversubscribed/#respond Fri, 12 Jun 2026 00:12:08 +0000 https://gaming.vmondeika.com/blackrock-ordered-5b-in-spacex-shares-as-ipo-demand-hit-250-billion-nearly-4x-oversubscribed/ [ad_1]

TL;DR

BlackRock ordered $5B in SpaceX stock. Total IPO demand hit $250B, nearly 4x oversubscribed. SpaceX debuts Friday at $135/share. Morningstar says it’s worth $63.

BlackRock submitted an order to buy at least $5 billion in SpaceX shares ahead of Friday’s debut, the Wall Street Journal reported. That single order is nearly as large as the entire $5.5 billion Cerebras IPO, the biggest of 2026 so far. SpaceX has told banks it will not budge from its $135 per share price.

Total investor demand has reached $250 billion, making the offering nearly four times oversubscribed, according to Reuters. SpaceX plans to sell roughly 555.6 million shares, raising $75 billion at a valuation of approximately $1.77 trillion. Retail investors have requested over $70 billion worth of shares. Up to 30% of the IPO may be allocated to public buyers.

Allocated shares will be available through Charles Schwab, Fidelity, Robinhood, SoFi, and E*Trade. Fidelity lowered its minimum account balance for IPO access from $100,000 to $2,000. Schwab still requires $100,000. Robinhood, SoFi, and E*Trade have no stated minimum.

Not everyone is enthusiastic. Senator Elizabeth Warren sent a 12-page letter to SEC Commissioner Paul Atkins requesting a delay. She argued the IPO’s size alone “would justify careful SEC review,” and raised concerns about SpaceX’s governance structure. Musk controls 85% of shareholder voting power through supervoting shares, mandatory arbitration, and Texas corporate law. Warren called it “unprecedented power” over investors who would have “significantly fewer rights than those traditionally offered.”

Market analysts have also pushed back on the valuation. Morningstar projected SpaceX should trade at $63 per share, roughly half the asking price. “Big Short” investor Michael Burry said there was “nothing” in the filing to suggest the company is worth $1 trillion, “let alone $2 trillion.” SpaceX valued its total addressable market at $28.5 trillion, a figure analysts called “nonsensical” and “smoke-and-mirrors accounting.

The financials tell a mixed story. SpaceX disclosed a net loss of $4.28 billion through its latest quarter, after losing $4.94 billion in 2025. Starlink, which generated $4.69 billion in quarterly revenue, is the only profitable segment. The AI arm lost $2.5 billion. Capital expenditure hit $10.1 billion in the quarter, with $7.7 billion going to AI. SpaceX spent $12.7 billion on AI last year, compared to $3.8 billion on space.

If shares trade at $135, Musk’s 42% stake would be worth approximately $688 billion, making him the world’s first trillionaire when combined with his other holdings. SpaceX’s S-1 filing also revealed billionaire-making stakes for president Gwynne Shotwell ($1.6 billion), CFO Bret Johnson ($1.2 billion), and board members including Valor Equity’s Antonio Gracias, whose $4.8 billion net worth could surge by $68 billion.

The IPO arrives after a string of valuation adjustments and last-minute deals. SpaceX signed a $920 million monthly compute deal with Google and a $1.25 billion monthly deal with Anthropic in the weeks before the offering. Warren’s concern is that index funds will be forced to buy SpaceX stock, exposing millions of passive investors to “significant risks with no choice in the matter.

SpaceX will disclose its final IPO price on Thursday. Trading begins Friday morning on the Nasdaq under the ticker SPCX.

Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 Ranked Mode confirmed, Gun Fight to hit Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer https://gaming.vmondeika.com/call-of-duty-warzone-2-0-ranked-mode-confirmed-gun-fight-to-hit-modern-warfare-2-multiplayer/ https://gaming.vmondeika.com/call-of-duty-warzone-2-0-ranked-mode-confirmed-gun-fight-to-hit-modern-warfare-2-multiplayer/#respond Wed, 10 Jun 2026 21:18:44 +0000 https://gaming.vmondeika.com/call-of-duty-warzone-2-0-ranked-mode-confirmed-gun-fight-to-hit-modern-warfare-2-multiplayer/

With the launch of Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 today, Activision has teased what’s coming next in both a mid-season update and in the next season.

First off, Season 2 Reloaded adds a brand new core 6v6 multiplayer map for Modern Warfare 2. We know nothing about it, but we do have the image below to whet our appetites:

The addition of a brand new 6v6 map to Modern Warfare 2 will be welcomed by fans who feel the game has suffered from a lack of content in comparison to Call of Duty’s extraction mode DMZ and battle royale Warzone 2.0. Indeed, Modern Warfare 2 players reacted negatively when Activision revealed Season 2 includes two “new” maps: Dome and Valderas Museum. Dome is a remake of Dome from Infinity Ward’s 2011 game Modern Warfare 3, and Valderas Museum was playable in the MW2 beta before failing to make the launch for some reason.

Also coming with Season 2 Reloaded is a new raid episode and new unannounced multiplayer modes.

Looking even further ahead, we have our first tease of what’s in store for Season 3 and beyond. The much-loved, small-scale Gun Fight mode from 2019’s Modern Warfare returns to multiplayer with new maps each season, Activision said. Also coming to Warzone is the popular Plunder mode. And perhaps of greatest interest is confirmation of Warzone Ranked for the first time.
