Ubisoft has revealed The Division 2: Into The Dark, the latest free seasonal update to the looter shooter, adding a fully PvE Dark Zone, a refreshed PvPvE Dark Zone, and a tease for a new Incursion coming later this year.

Launching today, Into The Dark shifts the focus of the game back to the Dark Zone and the Hyenas faction. They’ve developed a new “Potent Spice” formula, which I’m sure is still a cheap knockoff compared to the stuff that Paul Atreides huffs on Arrakis, but which is enough to make them a much more taxing challenge to overcome as it makes them more resistant to pain.

You’ll fight these Hyenas within the Toxis Dark Zone, a new PvE version of the Dark Zone that is exclusive to this season of the game. This is still a shared space for up to 12 Agents, but Rogue Protocol and friendly fire are deactivated. To ensure you still need to scramble to get out, Toxicity applies hazardous effects over time and build up the longer you stay inside. You can dispell some of this with Surged Active Modifiers, or leaving the Dark Zone. Extraction can only be called in when you have a Stabilization Agent, from Landmark Chests and Landmark Bosses, while taking out Hunters in the TDZ guarantee 1 Exotic Component and a 2% change to drop Eagle Bearer or Ravenous.

Alongside this you still have the standard Dark Zone, but there’s also a new Balanced Dark Zone, which applies PvP-style level matching to the session, emphasising player skill over gear strength. The PvP experience as a whole is being revamped with changes across Conflict in addition to the Dark Zone varients to rebalance weapons and gear talents. Future PvP updates will look at Skills, Attributes, Status Effects.

Through this season, two new Classified Assignments will be available – Conspiracy Zone Hideout on June 16 and McMillan Reservoir Assault on July 21 – which will offer a focus on exploration and storytelling within these locations. Later this season, a new Incursion will take place on Steel Creek Dam and Hydroelectric Plant as the Rikers take control of the location amidst worsening weather conditions.

Widow’s Bay season 2 officially renewed by Apple TV ahead of season 1 finale https://gaming.vmondeika.com/widows-bay-season-2-officially-renewed-by-apple-tv-ahead-of-season-1-finale/ https://gaming.vmondeika.com/widows-bay-season-2-officially-renewed-by-apple-tv-ahead-of-season-1-finale/#respond Thu, 11 Jun 2026 23:58:57 +0000 https://gaming.vmondeika.com/widows-bay-season-2-officially-renewed-by-apple-tv-ahead-of-season-1-finale/ [ad_1]

If you have already fallen for the strange mysteries and supernatural chaos of Widow’s Bay, there is good news. Apple TV has officially renewed the horror-comedy for a second season just ahead of the season one finale, which lands on June 17. However, Apple has not announced a release date yet.

The early renewal signals strong confidence in a show that has quickly become one of the streamer’s biggest new hits. The renewal comes alongside a new multiyear overall deal with creator, showrunner, and executive producer Katie Dippold.

What to expect from Widow’s Bay season 2?

The show follows Mayor Tom Loftis, played by Emmy winner Matthew Rhys, a well-meaning but deeply cowardly man trying to turn a cursed island into a tourist destination. Against all odds, he succeeds. Then the island reminds everyone why the locals were afraid of it in the first place.

Creator Dippold offered a perfectly cryptic tease for what comes next in Widow’s Bay: “Season two is about how everything is great on the island, and there’s nothing to worry about.”

Blending genuine horror with sharp character comedy, the show has earned Certified Fresh status on Rotten Tomatoes and is considered one of the best shows on Apple TV. The renewal arrives before the season one finale, giving fans confidence that the story will continue beyond its current cliffhangers.

What’s next for Apple TV?

We also have plenty of new stuff to look forward to. Ted Lasso season 4 arrives on August 5, and Slow Horses returns for its season 6 on September 16, 2026, as confirmed by Apple today.

Apple TV is also home to Pluribus, currently its most-watched drama, and the global phenomenon Severance. With a lineup this strong, Widow’s Bay is exactly the kind of original that keeps people subscribing.

The MPL PH Season 17 Playoffs kicks off in chaos https://gaming.vmondeika.com/the-mpl-ph-season-17-playoffs-kicks-off-in-chaos/ https://gaming.vmondeika.com/the-mpl-ph-season-17-playoffs-kicks-off-in-chaos/#respond Thu, 11 Jun 2026 23:44:54 +0000 https://gaming.vmondeika.com/the-mpl-ph-season-17-playoffs-kicks-off-in-chaos/

mobile legends season 17

If you thought the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang professional scene in the Philippines was going to follow the script, the opening day of the Season 17 playoffs just threw the script directly into a woodchipper. The high-stakes gauntlet kicked off at the FilOil Center in Metro Manila. Teams are fighting for the regional crown and two highly coveted tickets to the upcoming MLBB Mid Season Cup at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh.

The biggest shockwave of the opening play-in round came from Aurora Gaming PH. Despite entering the arena as the reigning M7 World Champions, Aurora has spent the entire domestic season suffering from a massive post-championship hangover. They limped through the regular season with a dismal 5-9 record and their struggles immediately caught up to them in the bracket. ONIC Philippines sent the world champions packing in a brutal 3-2 thriller, proving that international trophies don’t grant you immunity in the local meta.

The Heavyweights Wait in the Wings

While Aurora is busy booking early flights home, the regular-season titans are casually lounging in the upper bracket semifinals. Team Liquid PH is looking absolutely terrifying, entering the playoff phase with a ridiculous 13-1 match record. They are joined by Team Falcons PH, who secured the other direct seeding slot.

ONIC’s reward for surviving the Aurora series is a date with the Falcons, while Omega Esports booked their own ticket to the upper bracket by dismantling Twisted Minds 3-1. Omega will look to challenge the juggernauts at Team Liquid, setting up a massive day of tactical drafting and high-precision team fights.

What is on the Line?

The financial motivation for this tournament is massive. The regional champion walks away with a tidy $35,000 top prize, while the runner-up secures $20,000.

But the real prize is the plane ticket. Getting to represent the Philippines at the EWC in Riyadh means access to life-changing international prize pools. For traditional powerhouses like AP Bren and TNC Pro Team, the dream is already dead. Both squads underperformed drastically during the regular season, finishing in 7th and 8th place respectively to collect a modest $2,500 consolation check from the sidelines.

How to Catch the Action

The tournament runs through May 31st, concluding with a grueling Best-of-Seven Grand Final. If you can’t physically make it to the San Juan Arena to join the screaming local crowd, Moonton is keeping the digital doors wide open.

The games are broadcasting live across Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok, featuring both Tagalog and English commentary teams. The production values are top-tier, ensuring you won’t miss a single Lord steal or cross-map initiation.

The reigning world champions are already out of the building before the upper bracket even starts. If that doesn’t tell you how cutthroat the Philippine MLBB scene is, nothing will. Good luck to anyone trying to draft against Team Liquid this weekend.

F1 25: 2026 Season Pack Review https://gaming.vmondeika.com/f1-25-2026-season-pack-review/ https://gaming.vmondeika.com/f1-25-2026-season-pack-review/#respond Wed, 03 Jun 2026 15:37:31 +0000 https://gaming.vmondeika.com/f1-25-2026-season-pack-review/

We’ve become used to EA pumping out yearly renditions of most of its top-tier sports titles, whether that’s your Maddens, your FCs or even your NHLs. This year, though, things are taking an unusual turn for the follow up to F1 25. Rather than giving us F1 26, we’re getting a dose of DLC, a pit stop if you will, that’s wanging new tyres and a new front wing on to keep F1 fans scooting around the track for another year. It’s an odd choice.

The reason it’s an odd choice is that the 2026 F1 season sees the biggest rule change in a decade, bringing smaller, more aerodynamic cars, chucking out the DRS overtakes of old and changing up the power units to have a more even split of electricity and combustion power. Besides that, there’s a new track and two new teams on the grid in the form of Audi (formerly Kick Sauber) and Cadillac, the American manufacturer making its first foray into F1. In context, that’s a hell of a lot of things to take in, so why aren’t we getting a fully-fledged new edition that reflects all those changes?

F1 25 remains a great rendition of F1 racing. We’ve continued to plough time into it all year, though as we load up the latest version with the DLC installed it’s funny finding it still emblazoned with the F1 Movie tie-ins that felt so crucial to it last year. Still, a year is a long time, and while Braking Point feels like a distant memory, F1 25 has held up incredibly well, with few foibles coming to light through repeated play. We’re ready for more, though, and the 2026 Season Pack has come close enough to the start of the real F1 season that we’re pretty much ready to accept whatever EA throw at us.

F1 25: 2026 Season MADRING

Besides the two new teams, and the new/returning drivers of Bottas, Perez and Lindblad, the other major addition is the all-caps MADRING, the new track in Madrid, and the first new track to be added to the F1 schedule since 2023. While we haven’t seen it yet in real life, it’s been great to jump in with Codemasters’ best guess (informed by all the architectural data they can grab) and check it out in the season pack.

From the main straight, pushing the top speed of your car and grabbing the opportunity to overtake, through to the second straight and its aero zones, this is a track that immediately feels like you’re at the limit. For being a street circuit, it’s got a great selection of corner types, with the second half feeling fast and flowing. It feels like a race track, something the other street circuits don’t always manage to pull off. As a preview of what we can expect to watch the real drivers tackle later in the season, it’s a tantalising taste, and it’ll be interesting to see where it falls in people’s tier list. For me? It’s somewhere in the middle.

F1 25 2026 Season Pack – New cars

This year’s F1 season is, however, all about the changes to the power unit and wings. All of those changes have been represented in the F1 26 Season Pack, bringing in the need to harvest energy, lift and coast, as well as the powerful boost mode. The way Codemasters have done this is by tweaking the existing DRS and ERS systems. As you enter into a designated straight you can engage S Mode to flap down both wings and shed downforce, and you can do this regardless of how close you are to another car. The ERS has been tweaked to match real life too. You harvest energy, you deploy your boost just as you did before, but you need to be on top of this far more than you did previously with ERS, and it’s easy to find yourself without any charge in your battery if you don’t take it seriously. Whether that’s an improvement for players is up for debate, and probably depends on how invested you are in it, but it is authentic to this year’s regulations.

As we’ve seen through the opening of the real season, there’s plenty of battling going on, but it can feel a little like you’re yo-yoing backwards and forwards, and there’s definitely more to juggle than before. You can set it to work automatically, but it’s nowhere near as efficient. Want to go fast? Better learn to make the most of the new systems.

Because of the new boost and the new cars, racing is more interesting and involved overall. The cars and smaller and lighter, and you can see that in the way they’re racing, with the AI utilising smaller gaps and making moves where they wouldn’t have in the 2025 cars. It feels more fun, and more lively, and the AI do seem to be more likely to make mistakes than they did before, at least when playing on Legendary difficulty. If you’re looking for racing that pushes you to the limit, working hard to make overtakes and then defend against them coming back at you, Codemasters have nailed it.

F1 25 2026 Season Pack – Ferrari Cadillac Battling

One of the biggest problems over the last couple of years of F1 games, and the real-life sport, has been the dreaded DRS train, with everyone backing up behind a car that they couldn’t get past. Where F1 25 did remedy that to a certain extent, the regulation changes for the 2026 Season Pack, and the overall shift in the AI, means that’s now a thing of the past, which is something everyone should be celebrating. Go on. Celebrate.

However, what’s perhaps more crucial than all those additions and changes is what we’re not getting, or what we’re losing, in fact. First up, while we greet the new teams, we’re waving goodbye to both the Braking Point’s Konnersport team, and the F1 Movie’s APXGP, which are locked out from the 2026 Driver Career and My Team modes. Admittedly, this makes plenty of sense in terms of the number of drivers on the grid, as they took up the Cadillac spot last year, and the fact that Codemasters would have had to design a new 2026 car for them, but if you’re particularly attached to Sonny Hayes, this might be a painful breakup. Who wouldn’t have wanted some crazy 26-driver race mode too?

Custom teams and career saves will correspondingly also not transfer to the 2026 season, which is a shame, but one that again makes sense in context. What doesn’t make sense is the fact that there’s no co-op career mode, and no ranked multiplayer, which are huge for those who play competitively, or who like to go for the long haul with a friend. The regular lobbies will be there, but their reputation for being more Mario Kart than F1 won’t please those who want to focus on the racing.

Silo season 3 is finally going to tell us how the world ended https://gaming.vmondeika.com/silo-season-3-is-finally-going-to-tell-us-how-the-world-ended/ https://gaming.vmondeika.com/silo-season-3-is-finally-going-to-tell-us-how-the-world-ended/#respond Wed, 03 Jun 2026 01:09:59 +0000 https://gaming.vmondeika.com/silo-season-3-is-finally-going-to-tell-us-how-the-world-ended/ [ad_1]

Apple TV‘s hit sci-fi series is back, and the new Silo season 3 trailer makes it clear that the show is finally ready to answer its biggest question: how did the world end?

The 10-episode third season premieres on July 3, with new episodes dropping every Friday through September 4. And if this trailer is anything to go by, the wait has been worth it.

Juliette is back, but she’s not quite herself

Rebecca Ferguson’s Juliette survived the incinerator at the end of season 2, but she didn’t walk away unscathed. She’s lost all her memories, and that’s where things get truly exciting.

Camille Sims (Alexandria Riley) has been feeding her a false narrative for three months, and mysterious pills spotted in the trailer appear to be playing a role in keeping those memories buried. A voice identified only as The Algorithm confirms it, telling Camille that Juliette has had no memories other than the ones she was given.

There’s even a cryptic note warning Juliette not to take the mysterious pills, so someone out there wants her to remember. This memory manipulation is a bold departure from Hugh Howey’s Wool novels, and it adds another layer of tension.

The trailer also suggests that Juliette will become the mayor of the silo in season 3, settling into a powerful role she has no memory of earning. On top of all that, a countdown in the trailer hints that the silo itself is running out of time.

As one character ominously puts it, the amount of panic, if people knew how little time they had left, would be unthinkable. Meanwhile, Steve Zahn also makes a welcome return as Solo, whose fate was left uncertain at the end of season 2.

The past timeline is where Silo season 3 gets really interesting

While Juliette’s arc drives the present-day story, the trailer’s most exciting reveal is its deep dive into the past. Journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman), who were briefly introduced in the season 2 finale, are now central characters.

Their storyline is set centuries before the events of the silo and draws heavily from Shift, the second book in Howey’s trilogy. The two uncover a conspiracy involving what appears to be a radiological weapon attack, a chain of events that ultimately forced humanity underground. As the trailer tagline puts it, “the truth lies in the past.”

Joining the cast this season are Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney, Matt Craven, and Colin Hanks. Silo season 3 looks like the show has rediscovered everything that made season 1 so gripping – the paranoia, the mystery, and that nagging sense that nobody can be trusted.

With an origin story that goes back centuries now in play, this is shaping up to be its most ambitious chapter yet. If you haven’t started watching, now is the perfect time to catch up before July 3.
