Crushed In Time really ought to be called something like The Elasticated Adventures of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, or maybe Holmes & Watson Break Their Game (and Then Fix It Again). Here’s a point & click adventure that takes many of the typical conventions of the genre and slingshots them right out the window, a game where you get to explore every moment of its development and creation. Or at least, that’s how the story goes…

It’s launch day at Draw Me A Pixel’s glitzy high-rise HQ, but their game is getting review bombed into oblivion as an NPC has gone completely missing. As the team frantically try to figure out what’s going on, the digital denizens of their creation end up on their own adventure through time, all of which starts with a knock on the door from the postman.

The letter handed to Watson by the postman, however, defies gravity. And so we immediately get into how Crushed In Time differs from the likes of Escape from Monkey Island or more modern adventure games in the Telltale style. Instead of telling your heroes to go somewhere and interact with something, whether that’s by pointing and clicking, selecting verbs and actions, or having direct movement control with a gamepad, you’re manipulating the world around Holmes, Watson and everybody else.

Crushed In Time –grabbing elastic mechanics

The whole world is elastic, and all of the interactions require you to click and hold to grab onto an object and then pull and release in a variety of directions and different manipulations. It can be a simple directional stinger to pop a door open – pull left and release to spring it open to the right – or repeatedly pinging an item across the floor, grabbing and rotating and object to wind it up, timed releases, and simply slapping characters to get them to move somewhere else. It’s genuinely impressive how Draw Me A Pixel has come up with this handful of interactions and then applied them in so many different settings. Heck, even the menus and hint system need you to drag and release the buttons!

Retrieving that letter from the ceiling requires a hefty dose of classic point & click lateral puzzle solving. This initial problem has you manipulating the dumb waiter hatch, clock, telephone, messing with Sherlock’s newspaper and so much more to reach the point at which the two men are able to actually read it. And then it’s from this mystery woman called Emma?

Heading out to the country to find Emma starts them on a wild adventure where some bugged letter physics are the least of their problems. Crushed In Time has them bouncing back and forth between different periods of the game’s creation, back through to early alphas filled with placeholder assets and broken things, and even, on occasion, busting through into the real world and other electronics. It’s a bit tangential how a faux Game & Watch in the cafeteria is related to this game’s development, but these moments do make for some fun interludes.

Crushed In Time – lGame & Watch

Holmes and Watson are a bickering couple throughout – not least as Watson and Emma become thoroughly enamoured with one another – and a lot of that revolves around how utterly oblivious they are to your presence. Holmes just explains things away, or blames Watson for them, while Watson has more of a feeling that strange things are going on, but can’t possibly work out how to explain them or get Holmes to acknowledge it.

It’s nice and humorous all the way thorough, but also with some real heartfelt moments as their adventure comes to several climactic moments. There’s a bunch of times where it feels that the game is drawing to an end, only for a cutscene to drag you off to another new setting and gameplay paradigm, and another version of the crisis that they are enduring.

Crushed In Time – hanging from the Sherlock-o-Motive in a time vortex

Each chapter brings fresh ideas, and I’d say that only one of them really outstayed its welcome for me – sadly this was the penultimate chapter, which just made me more eager to see the ending for the wrong reasons. Draw Me A Pixel has also just about managed to walk the tightrope of point & click puzzle frustration, as well. The elastic interactions mean that there is a lot more timing-based puzzling through Crushed In Time, so you might need a character to be in one spot and then you interact with another object quickly enough to trigger the next action before they wander off. That does lead to more trial and error than I would have expected and repetitious cycles of actions, and with dialogue repeating as well. That can be a bit annoying, but the hints system is pretty good at nudging you in the right direction if and when you need it.

Denshattack! Is Delayed Into July To Allow “A Little More Time To Cook” https://gaming.vmondeika.com/denshattack-is-delayed-into-july-to-allow-a-little-more-time-to-cook/ https://gaming.vmondeika.com/denshattack-is-delayed-into-july-to-allow-a-little-more-time-to-cook/#respond Thu, 11 Jun 2026 18:39:46 +0000 https://gaming.vmondeika.com/denshattack-is-delayed-into-july-to-allow-a-little-more-time-to-cook/

If you’ve tried the free demo for Denshattack! on Switch 2, then chances are you’re probably itching to play the full game, huh?

Well, you’ll have to wait a bit longer, we’re afraid. Originally scheduled to launch on 17th June 2026, it’s now been pushed back to 15th July. This is to allow developer Undercoders “a little more time to cook” to ensure everything’s running smoothly.

The announcement was made via social media on 4th June (yes, we’re quite late with this one, sorry – it’s been a busy week!):

We reckon the wait is going to be well worth it though. The demo is absolutely fantastic and it really leans into those early ’00s Sega / Dreamcast vibes.

We spoke with the development team back in April, during which Studio Director David Jaumandreu confirmed that the idea for Denshattack! came from playing with a Japanese train toy model. If you’re keen to find out more, then do give it a read when you’re able.

You need luck from the Pity and 50/50 systems to Wish with Fate for characters on Banners, and you always need the right Adventure Rank for events.

Elsewhere, we have tips and tricks for beginners.

What to expect from Genshin Impact 3.5 Banners

We’ll have to wait for the 3.5 livestream for official details on who the character event Banners will be, but there has been some leakers providing information on the possible upcoming 3.5 Banners for Phase 1 and Phase 2 – though not as precise leaks as we’re used to.

There’s usually a whole bunch of leaks all but confirming what the new and returning Banners will be, but we don’t actually have an awful lot of information to go on this time. Perhaps it’s because of the recent legal trouble some leakers have got into?

That said, we’re inclined to be believe that new 5-Star Pyro character Deyha and new 4-Star Cryo character Mika will be included in the next Banners in Genshin Impact. Their marketing has been kicked into full gear on the official Genshin Twitter account, and beta testers have been playing as them in the latest test servers.

Deyha should finally be playable in 3.5!

As for reruns, the SaveYourPrimos website has compiled all of more believable rumours out there and has noted the following characters could have reruns in the 3.5 Banners:

  • Albedo
  • Cyno
  • Eula
  • Klee
  • Shenhe

To add our own speculation, we think it’s most likely at Eula and Shenhe will have reruns, as their Banners haven’t been seen as recently as Aldebo, Klee, and Cyno’s. However, Genshin Impact has been basing Banner runs off story and events more recently, so take that with a pinch of salt.

Cyno’s signature – the 5-Star Staff of the Scarlet Sands.

Just like the character Banners, we only have speculation and rumours on what the next weapon Banner will feature in Genshin Impact.

As Deyha is all but confirmed to feature in one of the next Banners, she should have a new 5-Star claymore signature weapon to run alongside her in the next Epitome Invocation Banner.

Apart from this likely inclusion, we can only speculate on what the other three 5-Stars will be across both phases, as we don’t have the usual reliable leaks on what 5-Star characters will be featured.

Here’s what weapons should be featured in the next weapon Banners, depending on what 5-Star character gets a rerun:

  • Calamity Queller polearm (Shenhe’s signature)
  • Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds (featured on Klee’s last rerun)
  • Primordial Jade Cuter (featured on Albedo’s last rerun)
  • Staff of the Scarlet Sands polearm (Cyno’s signature)
  • Song of Broken Pines claymore (Eula’s signature)

As a reminder, none of this information is official, so we’ll have to wait until the 3.5 livestream for solid details on who and what will be on the next Banners in Genshin Impact.

Samsung One UI 9 will disable your fingerprint every time you open the power menu https://gaming.vmondeika.com/samsung-one-ui-9-will-disable-your-fingerprint-every-time-you-open-the-power-menu/ https://gaming.vmondeika.com/samsung-one-ui-9-will-disable-your-fingerprint-every-time-you-open-the-power-menu/#respond Tue, 02 Jun 2026 02:41:26 +0000 https://gaming.vmondeika.com/samsung-one-ui-9-will-disable-your-fingerprint-every-time-you-open-the-power-menu/ [ad_1]

Samsung Galaxy phones have had a lockdown mode for years. It’s a manual option tucked inside the power menu that disables fingerprint and face unlock and forces a PIN entry

It is a useful last resort for situations where someone might force you to unlock your phone with your face or finger. The problem was that most people either didn’t know it existed or never used it in the first place. One UI 9 fixes that, and it does so by removing the choice entirely.

What exactly changed in the power menu?

Spotted by SammyFans and corroborated by members of the r/oneui community on Reddit, One UI 9 Beta 2 (based on Android 17) changes how lockdown mode behaves.

The dedicated lockdown button has been removed from the power menu altogether. In its place, you’ll see medical info, a more contextually useful option for first responders in an emergency.

Lockdown itself hasn’t been removed; it has simply become automatic.

The moment you open the power menu and dismiss it, One UI 9 activates lockdown. It locks the phone and disables fingerprint recognition and face unlock. The only way to unlock it is to enter the PIN, pattern, or password.

Is this actually better or just more annoying?

I’d say that it is significantly better. The old implementation required you to think straight in a moment of stress, locate the right button, and press it before handing your phone over or, worse, having it taken from you.

The new implementation removes that cognitive burden entirely. Opening the power menu is already a natural reflex when you sense something is wrong, and reaching for the side button is instinctive. Samsung has effectively turned that instinct into a security action without any additional step needed.

For now, the feature is live in One UI 9 Beta 2 and has not been confirmed for the stable release. Given that Samsung has not officially announced this change, it could still be modified before One UI 9’s stable release ships to the public.
