Publisher and developer Nekki announced a release window for SPINE, their long-awaited gun action-adventure game.
SPINE is set to finally launch sometime in summer 2027 for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. Nekki confirmed to Niche Gamer the Switch 2 port is coming later.

SPINE is a single-player cinematic action game where close-quarters gunfights meet Gun Fu combat. Play as Redline, a rebellious street artist equipped with Spine – a sentient combat implant with a mind of its own – and fight through a cyberpunk city ruled by an autocratic AI regime.
SPINE’s new trailer offers a first look at Judge – Tensor City’s supreme leader – along with Tensor’s Children, Edda Kopp and Malady, equipped with Spines of their own. The new trailer also showcases SPINE’s directional attacks, parry and dodge system, environmental attacks and a number of the game’s bosses, as well as a variety of new environments, from tangled underground laboratories to the vast cliffs of the City’s Greenhouse, and a fight atop a high-speed train.
In Tensor City – a technocratic megacity built by an AI so humanity could survive the ecological collapse of the world outside — your value is a number. The Social Rating decides who eats, who works, and who gets thrown away, splitting the city between the gleaming New City above and the rotting Old City below. Redline, a rebel street artist, scrapes by in the slums, until a mafia heist goes wrong and costs her everything – including her brother.

SPINE features Freeflow Gun Fu combat, with camerawork and combat choreography by action movie stunt specialists. It is powered by Unreal Engine 5 and Nekki’s original animation engine, Cascadeur, making players the star of their own action movie where no two fights are the same.
